EFB Unable to Connect/Aircraft Not Powered

If your aircraft has no power or the EFB says "Unable to connect", follow the below steps.

Before proceeding below, we recommend ensuring nothing is running on Port 8083. This can be done by running the following in the command prompt:

 netstat -an | find "8083"

Please try the following steps:

  • Ensure your Fenix Aircraft is installed into the default path of: C:\Program Files\FenixSim A320

  • Check that the Fenix.exe (FenixSim A320) application is running and not blocked by an antivirus. Maybe try a restart of the app if it is.

  • Try a restart of the Flight by closing the Fenix.exe, pressing ESC then Restart and checking that the Fenix.exe application has started once loaded into the flight.

  • We have also noticed some liveries can break the connection. Please try using the default Fenix livery.

If you have the Microsoft Store version of MSFS:

C:\Users<user_name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\

If you have the Steam version of MSFS:

C:\Users<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\

Open SimConnect.xml and change the setting of all MaxClients entries to 128 and save.

  • If you have non-english characters in your windows user name:

Go to Windows “Control Panel” --> “Clock and Region” --> “Region” --> “Administrative” Tab --> “Change system regional configuration…” --> and check the “Beta version: Use UTF-8 for language compatibility” checkbox."

  • Ensure both Fenix and MSFS are not run as admin.

  • Find your packages folder:

If you have the Microsoft Store version of MSFS: C:\Users<user_name>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages

If you have the Steam version of MSFS:

C:\Users<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages

Find the folder called fnx-aircraft-320 and delete this folder. Then jump into a flight and see if the issue is resolved.
