Some users have reported performance degradation when SMT/Hyper-threading is disabled in the BIOS. This can be caused by multiple settings. When SMT/Hyper-threading is disabled, the simulator can starve external programs (such as Fenix Systems/Displays) of processor resources, resulting in significant performance degradation.
Please read below for what settings you should modify to prevent this from occurring. Some AMD X3D chips also have additional settings you should be mindful of. You should consult your specific motherboard's user guide for specific instructions and to confirm that no additional settings affect SMT/Hyper-Threading.
